| (2008年9月19日，北京) 托福考试的主办方美国教育考试服务中心（ETS）继2007年在中国成功举办首届托福知识网络竞赛并得到广大中国考生的踊跃参与及认可后，宣布将于2008年9月20日正式启动新一轮“托福梦想——驶于美国，驰往世界！”托福知识网络竞赛，以进一步帮助中国考生增进对托福考试在全球高校应用的全面了解，通过真题体验、备战托福考试，了解海外校园交际及学术所需的英语能力，从而在海外留学生活中取得成功。
本次ETS托福知识网络竞赛将于2008年9月20日开始至2008年11月20日结束。
作为全球认可度最高的学术英语测试之一，基于互联网的托福考试——托福网考（TOEFL® iBT）目前得到逾134个国家及地区的6000多所高等院校的认可。本次ETS托福知识网络竞赛特意为考生交流托福经验搭建起互动平台，并与参与者分享来自世界各地百强大学的教授、学者对于托福考试的点评以及关于考生考托求学的建议。
托福网考的诞生基于十年的研究、开发和反复测试，重新定义了英语学习和测评的模式。考试模拟大学校园生活的真实场景，在听、说、读、写所有四项语言能力测试环节中均让考生体验百分百的学术英语交流环境，测试考生是否具备海外留学所必需的英语水平。本次大赛特别提供了托福阅读真题供考生亲身体验托福考试，帮助考生掌握在实际情景中的英语沟通技巧。

ETS TOEFL® Online Competition Launched in China
Beijing, China (September 19, 2008) – Educational Testing Service (ETS), creator of the TOEFL® test – the test of choice for the top 100 universities in the world– announced that the TOEFL “Go anywhere from here” online competition will be held in mainland China from September 20 – November 20, 2008.
The two-month nationwide online competition, the second to be offered by ETS in China, seeks to help Chinese students prepare for a successful overseas academic experience by enriching their knowledge of the English skills important for overseas study. The competition also will help to increase Chinese test takers’ understanding of how TOEFL is used by colleges and universities worldwide, providing them the opportunity to experience real TOEFL test questions.
